(I) Couplings: Also known as couplings, the main function is to connect the driving and driven shafts in different mechanisms, and mechanical parts that transmit motion and torque at the same time. Couplings are usually composed of two halves, which are respectively connected with keys or tight fits, fastened to the ends of the two shafts, and then the two halves are connected in some way.
(II) Types of couplings: Couplings can be divided into two types: rigid couplings and flexible couplings.
1. Rigid couplings cannot buffer and compensate the relative displacement of the two axes. The use of the process requires strict alignment of the two axes. The structure is simple, the manufacturing cost is low, the maintenance is convenient, and the transmission torque is large. It is mainly divided into flanges.
